How To Send Scanned Documents From Notes App On iPhone?
To send scanned documents from the Notes app on your iPhone, follow these steps:
Scanning the Document:
- Open the Notes app.
- Within a note or while creating a new one, tap the Camera icon.
- Choose "Scan Documents".
- Align the document under your iPhone's camera viewfinder.
- Your device may auto-capture the image, or you can tap the shutter button or press a volume button to manually capture the scan.
- Adjust the crop if needed by dragging the corners, then tap 'Keep Scan'.
- Repeat until you finish scanning multiple pages. Finally, tap 'Save.'
Sending the Scanned Document via Email:
- After saving the scanned document(s), locate the note containing the scanned document(s) in the Notes app.
- Tap the share icon (the square with an arrow pointing upwards) located in the top right corner.
- Select "Mail," which should allow you to compose an email with the scanned document attached.
Please note that the Notes app does not support password protection for emails sent directly from the app due to limitations mentioned in the Apple Support Communities discussion. If you require password protection, consider using a third-party app from the App Store after reading reviews to ensure its suitability for your needs. Additionally, remember that the "Send Copy" option must be selected instead of "Collaborate" before the "Save to Files" option becomes visible, which could be helpful if you wish to export the scanned document elsewhere.
