How To Use FaceTime Video Messaging On iPhone?
To use FaceTime Video Messaging on an iPhone with iOS 17, follow these steps:
Update your iPhone: Ensure your iPhone is running iOS 17 by going to Settings > General > Software Update. Install the update if necessary.
Open the FaceTime app: Launch the FaceTime app and start a FaceTime call by tapping the New FaceTime button.
Select a contact: Choose the contact you wish to call, or enter their name or phone number manually.
Record a video message: If the person you're trying to reach doesn't answer, a countdown will appear, and you can record your video message. Press "Record Video," wait for the countdown, and record your message. To send, tap "Send." To rerecord, tap "Retake." You also have the option to save the video message to your Camera Roll by tapping "Save" before sending.
Retrieving a video message: The recipient will receive a notification about the video message in their missed call log within the FaceTime app. They can watch the video message, return your call, or save the video message to their Camera Roll.
Please ensure both you and the recipient have updated your iPhones to iOS 17 for this feature to work properly. If you encounter issues like not being able to record or send a message, make sure both devices are running iOS 17 and confirm that the recipient's phone number is not prefaced with a '1' character, as this could cause discrepancies.
