How To View Your Old Bio On Instagram?

To view your old Instagram bios within the application, follow these steps:

1. Open the Instagram app and tap on your profile icon at the bottom.
2. Tap on the three horizontal line icon at the top right corner.
3. Tap on Your activity.
4. Tap on Account History.
5. Scroll through your history until you find the desired old bio you want to view, and click the arrow icons beside Bio.

For a comprehensive archive of all old bio changes, including texts that cannot presently be seen via the Instagram application itself, you can access a more detailed record using the following procedure outside the app:

1. Visit https://instagram.com in a web browser on desktop or mobile.
2. Log in to your Instagram account.
3. Select the personalized menu icon.
4. Choose Privacy and Security, then scroll down and click Data Download under the Data and History section.
5. Opt for the HTML format and proceed.
6. Enter your Instagram password.
7. Wait for approximately 1–14 days to receive an email containing a download link for your archived data.
8. Follow the link provided in the email and download the zipped folder by clicking Download information.
9. Unzip the downloaded folder, search for the account_information subfolder.
10. Within this subfolder, open the profile_changes.html document. Locate sections titled Profile Bio Text where you will find a chronologically organized series of your old profile descriptions (or bios).
