Telegram: How To Fix Picture In Picture Mode On Android And iPhone?
To fix Picture-in-Picture (PiP) mode on Android and iPhone's Telegram and other apps, follow these steps:
Android
Ensure PiP mode is enabled in Android Settings and the specific app.
- Open Settings, select Apps & Notifications, App Management, then choose the app.
- Enable Picture-in-Picture.
Clear app cache.
- Open Settings, select Apps & Notifications, choose the app, then Storage & Cache.
- Clear cache (does not remove your account data or preferences).
Update your app and Android OS.
- Open Google Play Store, check for updates for your app and OS.
Restart your phone.
- Press and hold the power button, select Restart.
iPhone and iPad (iOS)
Enable PiP mode in Settings and the app.
- Open Settings, select General, then Picture-in-Picture.
- Toggle "Start PiP Automatically" on.
Ensure app updates and reboot the device.
- Press and hold the Side button orvolume buttons simultaneously.
- Swipe the slider to power off.
- Turn on your device by pressing and holding the Side button.
Disable gestures if necessary.
- Open Settings, select System settings, then System navigation.
- Choose Button or 3-button navigation instead of gestures.
For Telegram specifically, also check the app settings for PiP mode enablement. These steps should address the issue, but remember that some apps (e.g., Disney+) may not support PiP without premium accounts. On YouTube, the free PiP mode is only available in the United States, and requires a YouTube Premium subscription elsewhere.
