Rovio Classic: Angry Birds is going to Delist from Some Platforms?

Rovio indeed announced the delisting of the classic version of Angry Birds, specifically known as Rovio Classics: Angry Birds, from certain platforms. This action primarily affected the Google Play Store, where the game was delisted on February 23, 2023. The reason given for this move was the game's impact on Rovio's broader games portfolio; the presence of the paid version seemed to negatively affect the discovery and download rates of Rovio's free-to-play Angry Birds titles, which often rely on microtransactions for revenue.

To address this issue, Rovio renamed the game to Red's First Flight on iOS, and they are monitoring the impact of this change to determine whether the game will be relisted on Android or removed from iOS as well. The game remains playable on devices where it has been downloaded, even after being delisted.
